I'm incredibly pleased to announce a very special collaboration with the alpaca mill, Adagio. Located in beautiful Orange, NSW, Adagio is leading the way in Australian yarn manufacturing.
This workshop is excellent for complete beginners and knitters who want to freshen up their skills - all skill levels are welcome. We will learn how to cast on, knit the important and universal garter stitch, and bind off. All participants will take home a beautiful skein of Adagio alpaca in the colour of their choosing, as well as lovely handcrafted knitting needles. You'll begin a simple headwarmer project in the class to keep your ears toasty as we go into winter, and you'll take home your started project, all materials, and a PDF pattern to help you finish the project from the comfort of your favourite home knitting spot.
Half way through the class, we'll also get to take a very special tour of the mill, and see where the yarn we're working wth has been made. Like I said - it doesn't get much more local or special than this - this isn't a night you'll want to miss!
This will be a special night of learning to knit using beautiful alpaca, grown, milled and entirely made in Orange, NSW along with knitting needles made from lovely Australian wood. It's a truly Australian affair- from start to finish, and you can delight in the fact that all these goods have been locally produced with love.
